NPI Southwest Virginia Add-On Services

Providing Home Inspections for Kingsport, Bristol, Johnson City, Abingdon, Big Stone Gap, Wytheville, Tazewell, Blacksburg, Galax and Surrounding Areas

In addition to general residential and commercial property inspections, NPI offers a suite of services that can be tailored to your specific needs. Below, you will find a list of each additional service offered by your local NPI Southwest Virginia team.

Radon is a naturally-occurring radioactive gas and the second leading cause of lung cancer in the US, according to the Surgeon General. Radon can enter your home through cracks in the foundation, and because it’s odorless and colorless, the only way to detect it is with a professional inspection. NPI's state-of-the-art radon testing equipment collects data for 48 hours and prints a report on-site, giving you the most accurate test results in the fastest time frame.

Your NPI inspector can check your basement, crawl spaces, attic, carpet and more for potentially hazardous mold. If mold is suspected, samples can be collected and analyzed to confirm the extent of the contamination and determine necessary remediation.

If you’re buying or selling a property that draws its water from a private well, National Property Inspections can perform a water quality and potability inspection. Your NPI inspector will collect water samples and send them to an approved laboratory for testing. Well water is tested for Coliform bacteria and nitrates to determine its safety to drink. Lead testing is available upon request. A well flow test is also performed to determine potential issues with a well’s connected equipment, such as the pump and storage tank.

Your NPI inspector can provide many different types of field services, including occupancy status inspections, property assessment and condition reports, insurance risk assessment inspections, REO foreclosures and more. Any of these services can be tailored to your specific needs.
