Kitchen Safety

Gourmet kitchen
The kitchen is one of the rooms people spend the most time in. Ensure the safety of yourself and others in the kitchen by following these tips:

Always stay in the kitchen while cooking on the range

Keep children and pets away from the range when anyone is cooking

Keep your cooking area clean, and keep things that can burn (plastic bags, dish towels, etc.) away from the range top

Keep your water heater set at 120 degrees Fahrenheit to avoid hot water burns

Electrical outlets in the kitchen, especially near the sink, should have Ground-Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCIs) to prevent a dangerous shock

List emergency numbers in a visible area
