Providing each client an unbiased, thorough report essential to making informed home and commercial property purchase decisions.

NPI offers a full menu of inspection services to both residential and commercial clients. Our most popular inspections include new construction, existing residential and commercial buildings, multi-units, condos, manufactured homes, pre-listing inspections, 11th month inspections where new home warranties are about to expire, and now offering thermal photography as an additional service to a Home or Commercial Inspection, or as an independent service.

Making an informed purchasing decision
NPI inspections are unbiased and performed based upon industry-accepted Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. Some home or commercial building inspectors may offer to complete your inspection in under an hour. If you're considering this option, ask yourself the following questions:

  • Is it possible to review an entire house in less than an hour?
For instance, assessing whether or not a dishwasher leaks, means running the appliance through a complete cycle. This takes at least an hour. Inspectors are required to run plumbing fixtures,  heating units and/or A/C units, appliances, doors and windows for proper operation. At NPI, we inspect hundreds of components in the home, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, taking the time we need to provide you with a professional, easy-to-read computer-generated report.
  • Do you receive the report on-site or emailed the day of the inspection?
The inspection may take 2 to 2-1/2 hours, but how long does it take to receive the final report? Mark Weinberger completes the report and prints reports on-site (requiring up to 4 hours to complete the inspection and report entirely), or emails the reports the same day and remains available to answer questions and review the significant findings with you.
  • Are you welcomed at the nspection?
Let no-one (realtor, inspector or anyone else connected to the process) tell you that you can not be at the inspection. It's your right! Plus, the inspector requires you to read and sign a Pre-Inspection Agreement. It's also easier to explain an issue when at the home being inspected.

  • Who get's the report?
The report is the property of the person paying for the inspection. Make sure you receive your report. An inspector can not discuss the findings with any 3rd party without the payee's permission.
  • Does the inspector have the lastest inspection tools and knowledge to assess the property?
Mark received extensive classroom and hand's-on training before opening his business. He adds to his expertise through annual continuing education and is certified in infrared thermography. Using moisture detectors, digital meters and microwave leak detectors, along with the infrared camera allows Mark to scan walls, ceilings, windows, doors and HVAC equipment for moisture problems, heat loss, electrical issues and more.

After all, this may be the single largest investment of your life. An objective property inspection report not only saves you time, it gives you a clear, concise checklist of information regarding your home or commercial property and an understanding of the current condition of all major systems. This is true on both existing and new housing stock.
