Thermal Imaging: Increasing Buyer Confidence

Putting Customers at Ease

Using thermal imaging doesn’t mean more roadblocks for closing. In most cases, thermal imaging actually helps answer otherwise unresolved questions that can leave a customer with doubts about the condition of the property. For instance, pinpointing the source of moisture tied to a ceiling stain is better than leaving the source and origin of the problem unanswered. The result is less uncertainty, more economical repair solutions, and increased buyer confidence in both the inspection process and the property itself.

Over the years, property inspectors have used a variety of tools to assist them in performing a thorough “visual” inspection, such as moisture meters and voltage testers. Infrared cameras are just another tool to assist the inspector in providing great service to your clients.

What is Thermal Imaging?

Thermal images are produced from an infrared camera that records the thermal energy of surfaces. The resulting images and data help identify areas that are wet or dry, hot or cold. To a trained inspection professional these images translate into moisture intrusion, energy loss and electrical wiring safety issues. What the client sees is a more accurate inspection report.
